The stainless steel flange connection is to fix two pipes, pipe fittings or equipment to each one on a flange. The two flanges are added with pads and bolted together to complete the connection. Stainless steel flanges can not be stored for a long time, should be checked on schedule, often the exposed surface must be kept clean, remove dirt, neatly stored in the indoor air-dried place, no stacking or open storage. When the flange ball valve, globe valve or gate valve is used, it is only fully open or fully closed, and it is not allowed to adjust the flow to avoid erosion of the sealing surface and accelerate wear. Flange is easy to manufacture, simple to manufacture, low in cost and widely used; but it is less rigid, so it should not be used in chemical process piping systems with high and extreme hazard requirements for supply, demand, flammability, explosiveness and high vacuum.
